CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:

Excellence in teaching and variety of class offering is our signature at Atlanta Hot Yoga. Below and in alphabetical order please find our class descriptions and join us today for a class suited to your every need & desire.   

ASANA BASICS:

Asana basics a slower paced class designed to teach you the basics of the postures in preparation for later linking the asanas in a vinyasa flow. This class is suitable for beginners and those wishing to understand fundamentals more thoroughly.

 BALANCE + FOUNDATION FLOW:

This mindful, inspiring Body bal·ance [bal-uhns] class emphasizes the importance of creating a strong foundation through informed and pristine alignment and mindful breathing to create an interplay of movement and stability designed to balance our underlying physiology. You will be guided to release tension sufficiently and intelligently, resulting in a balanced physical constitution and the emotional/psychological freedom, which translates off the mat & into your lives. This class is transforming, fun, grounding, strengthening -& delivers the stability & balance required to deepen your practice. Available to all levels of practice. 

 CORE POWER:

Core Power yoga is a fun, energized yoga class with multiple asanas (poses) expressed in increments of 7, 14, and 21 (all sacred numbers) repetitions.  Intended to create a dynamic increase in cardiovascular capacity, this class is accessible to all strengths and fitness levels. If you’ve never experienced yoga as a full body workout, this is the class and now is the time.

DEEP STRETCH YIN:

Yin yoga is a soothing practice suitable for students of all levels of experience. Practitioners are offered an opportunity to surrender, slow down and come back to balance. Many of the poses are seated, supine or prone and are held with muscles relaxed for at least three to five minutes. There is a focus on the breath, being present in the moment, relieving tension and letting go. The Yin practice encourages the practitioner to become deeply quiet, still and mindful of the present. Yin yoga is an excellent complement to our Hot, Power, and Pilates classes.

 HIPS + HEAT FLOW

Renew and Restore with this class, designed to work the deeper levels of the body/heart/mind: our connective tissues of the ligaments, fascia, joints, bones and energetic channels of the meridians, nerves, & blood system.  During this class, a distinct focus is placed on opening your hips –  which are the foundation of our anatomy and most crucial to our overall health and wellbeing.  Join us today. 

FLUID FLOW

Fluid Flow classes offer practitioners the best of both worlds.  As an extention of the of the Hot Sequence, we will bring Fluidity to the practice by experiencing a change of the body from matter to movement.   Fluid Flow combines the Hot Sequence and a Power Flow class together for a very unique blend of energies and enhancements.  Test the depths of your patience, grace, strength, balance and flexibility in this very dynamic practice. Fluid Flow will include combination poses that will strengthen your ability to transition from one situation to another situation on your mat as you transition off the mat in your Phenomenal World. This class will feature hip openers, and inversions as well.  Fluid Flow is an open level class that will offer options for both beginner and experience practitioners alike; please honor your experience and be all you can be in this class.

 HOT 26 YOGA:

Our signature HOT class is practiced in a heated room (103-105 degrees) laced in a 90-minute asana sequence comprised of 26 to 30+ asanas (postures)  intended to purify and cleanse the mind, body and soul. This is a dynamic class suited for beginners and experienced students alike, with an astute emphasis on proper alignment, breath flow and precise movement intended to increase your endurance, flexibility, strength, and concentration. Students of any level are encouraged and welcome.

HOT YOGA (1 HOUR) / HOT YOGA (75 MIN) :

For the student with only ONE HOUR OR 75  Min to spare, as its name implies this class is a briefer version of our signature blend of Hot Yoga featuring asanas intended to strengthen and detoxify the body, while encouraging deep concentration, discipline and grace. As a part of the class you will be guided, mindfully and impeccably via thoughtful cues and detailed instruction, through a asana sequence designed to honor each students’ level of expertise and experience. Albeit challenging, this class is accessible to every student.

 HOT FLOW:

Hot Flow incorporates our signature hot yoga sequence, with an emphasis on the importance of dynamic breath flow to link one asana to the next. Perfect for beginners and advanced students, much attention is focused on accurate alignment, core strength, concentration, mindfulness, breath control and refinement of the fundamentals to move beyond the limitations of the body and mind.

HOT CORE POWER: 

Hot Core Power class will keep you moving, sweating, breathing!  True to its name, Hot Core Power focuses on building and engaging your strength while relying on  your breath flow as you blissfully glide through a vigorous & thoughtful core power sequence of postures. Set to energizing music in a heated, climate-controlled room, this class strengthens, balances, detoxifies and exhilarates the body and mind. Join Us! Hot Core Power is designed for all  students.

 VINYASA FLOW:

This is an upbeat, vigorous class that combines upper body strength, flexibility and cardio incorporated into a ‘Vinyasa’ – or continuous flow-style. Many of the same postures practiced in the Hot Yoga class are incorporated into the Hot Vinyasa Flow class and each posture transitions into the next pose, with a concentration on breath work. This class is beginner friendly, and designed for students of all levels seeking a challenge.

PILATES:

Even if you practice yoga or exercise regularly, our Pilates classes will take you to a whole new level by working your core muscles – the deep abdominal muscles that support the spine. This is essential for strength and flexibility. A system of movement and strengthening, Pilates promotes full breath, healthy joint articulation and stability in the important core muscles of the body.

 PILATES + POWER FUSION

In Pilates Power Fusion class you will be guided through a vigorously fluid Vinyasa Flow sequence designed to increase your stability and stamina, while deepening your core strength and awareness of healthy alignment principles.  Pilates strengthen abdominals, lower back, and shoulders.  You will enjoy a complete yoga immersion, with a plethora of music styles as backdrop. 

POWER HOUR or POWER (90 MINUTES):

As the name says, it’s a Power Class when your schedule only allows 60 minutes. It’s the perfect Yoga Class for balancing life’s demands, while taking some “you” time. The sequences are shorter, but no less intense! Each ower Yoga class features a vinyasa-based sequence of asanas, whereby the asanas (postures)  flow from one to the next with an ever-changing format. The room is heated to approximately 90 to 95 degrees Farenheit. Whether you prefer a Baron Baptiste. Ana Forrest, Shiva Rae, Astanga, or Anusara style of yoga, this is your class.

POWER + DEEP RELAXATION:

This class will combine elements of Power & Restorative yoga coupled with music to create invigorating and also deeply relaxing experience. The first portion of the class will focus on warming and flowing sequences linked with breath, followed by a vigorous power flow practice to further heat and prepare the body for the deep stretching to follow. The final portion of class is completely restorative and supportive in nature, prepping the body for a sweet savasana.

PRANA FLOW

Prana Flow classes have a dynamic energy and emphasize the unity of prana (breath/energy) and movement to create an embodied state of rhythmic flow. Prana Flow is an energetic, creative full-spectrum approach to embodying the flow of yoga and these innovative classes are best for students seeking a yoga practice that enhances awareness, inner/outer strength, fluidity and movement meditation. Inspired by Shiva Rea and the Global Vinyasa Collective. This open level class will offer options for both beginner and experienced practitioners alike; please honor your experience as you test your edges in this class.

 VINYASA BASICS:

vinyasa basics appropriate for all levels. vinyasa basics is a slower paced but still flowing class emphasising ujayii (breath) and proper alignment. perfect for athletes or those looking to strengthen their practice.

 VINYASA FLOW:

We’re giving you a reason to wake up early to celebrate your day!  This Vinyasa Flow class is 60-minutes of sheer energy and bliss coupling creative sequencing, breath flow, and a wild playlist for an invigorating power-laced start to your day. This class will warm the body, calm the mind and open the heart. The asanas vary from day to day but always include a variety of breath centered warm-ups, standing pose sequences, heart opening backbends, cleansing twists and deep forward bends. The class culminates in a shared savasana, leaving you feeling wide awake and free to start your day. If you are looking for a transition from Hot to Power, and everything in between, this class is for you! All levels welcome.

 108 SUN SALUTATIONS:

108 Sun Salutations {Surya Namaskara A} is a moving meditation class intended to unite, strengthen and bring peace through its meditative qualities. This class is a dynamic asana sequence of 12 postures performed in continuous repetition and flow providing a moving meditation, which invigorates, cleanses, restores, renews, and encourages a spirit of devotion with awareness turned inward toward the heart.
